SEMA (Special Equipment Market Association) is the premiere auto convention hosted annually at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This is the largest convention in North America with over 160,000 attendees each year. Just imagine cars, trucks and automobiles as far as the eye can see. And beyond that even more custom-built vehicles, cutting edge automotive technology and industry. professionals and fans all trying to get a look at it all.

SEMA started over 60 years ago and for that time the only way to experience this once in a life time event was to fly to Las Vegas. But in 2024 we open the door for a virtual SEMA show floor experience!

Introducing SEMA LIVE brought to you by Hildreth Media Group in partnership with Bud Brustman BCII.

Hildreth Media lead the Directing and Engineering team through pre-production, live event directing and coordination with remote video teams. The SEMA LIVE show broadcasted for four days with the record 8 hours of coverage per day highlighting the best of the best of what SEMA offers.

How do you live stream the largest convention in North America?

We tackled this with the power of wifi and cellular driven video teams. There remote teams weaved through the convention center and filmed different booths and wirelessly transmitted there signal back to the live stream control room where we seamlessly integrated there wireless video with the rest of the show. This allowed the show to interview anyone at anytime anywhere. We were cameras without boundaries serving up show segments inside, outside in a vendors booth, at the battle of the builders stage or even inside a drag race car!

This required constant communication and coordination between the Director, Technical Director, Wireless Video Engineer and the three Remote Video Teams to make this possible

Live events are complex. Planning them doesn’t have to be. Let’s build something incredible. Contact us.

I had the opportunity to work with Royce and his team at Hildreth Media on the SCORE Baja Race Series. Knowing the technical requirements and importance of the SEMA LIVE stream, I knew Royce and his team are and will always be the perfect partner.
